We offer buffet style dining with several choices per meal with snacks available in-between.  Our soft serve ice cream machine, coffee, tea, and juices are available 24 hours per day.  Visitors are welcome to eat meals with the resident.  Breakfast $3.00, lunch $5.00 (except Sunday $7.00) and Supper $5.00.  Please call at least 3 hours prior to the meal for your reservation.  Our meals are; Breakfast 7:00am-9:00am, Lunch 11:45am – 12:30pm and Supper 4:45pm – 5:30pm, accommodations can be made for earlier or later times if arrangements made in advance.


Our activities department has a variety of activities for residents to attend in addition there are individual activities such as putting puzzles together.  Some of our activities are:
Women’s social and Men’s coffee on Thursdays at 10:00am.

All activities are open to the public to attend.

Social Services

Our social service designee is available to assist with your admission to the facility and answer any questions you may have about living in our facility.  In addition she can help assist in person care needs that arise such as letters of correspondence, voting, taxes, paying bills, and helping setting up Medicaid.

Care Planning

Care Planning is done on every resident in our care to provide the person centered care that we give to our residents.  The care plan is very specific for each resident.  The care plan meets with each resident’s family every 90 days or more often if needed.  The usual day for care plan meetings in Tuesday afternoon’s starting at 1:30pm.  If a different date or time is needed meeting may be scheduled to meet your needs.


Several different church affiliations have services on Sunday on a rotation basis such as Mission Covenant, Salem Lutheran, Methodist, and Winifred Baptist; their services are on Sunday afternoons at 1:30pm with refreshments afterward.  The Catholic services are Wednesdays at 10:00am and communion is distributed by lay ministers on Sundays.

Physician visits

Most of our attending physicians make nursing home visits every other month.  Our facility is affiliated with physicians from Community Memorial Health Care in Marysville, Community Hospital in Onaga, Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca, and Wamego City Hospital in Wamego.  In addition we accept admissions from any accredited hospital in Kansas and Nebraska. 

Podiatry Services

The Marshall County Health Department provides podiatry services every other month.  The nurses are highly trained to do specific podiatry services and use equipment and do assessments to keep our residents feet happy and healthy. 

Hospice Services

We are contracted with Gentiva Hospice, St. Jude Hospice and Medowlark Hospise for these services. 


Transportation is provided by trained individuals through safe driving classes provided by the state.  We have a 13 passenger bus, a wheelchair assessable van, and an 8 passenger van.
